Since the very beginning of my practice, helping women achieve pregnancy has been both a passion and a large part of my practice. I have spent more hours of my continuing education focused on women’s health and fertility than any other topic. There is nothing more gratifying than working with women from when they are trying to conceive, through conception, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
There is so much that Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine can do to support this special journey and no matter where you are in the process of planning your family, Fertility Acupuncture can help. Contact Mari at 503.349.8122 or use the contact form to get in touch.
When trying to conceive, depending on other factors surrounding the menstrual cycle, weekly acupuncture sessions are recommended. Acupuncture helps balance hormones, reduce stress and improve blood flow to the reproductive organs. Many women are able to conceive within 3-4 months of just using acupuncture, dietary therapy and/or Chinese herbs.
Combining Acupuncture with Western Fertility Treatments
For some women who are using medical fertility techniques such as IUI and IVF, excellent results will occur when combined with regular Fertility Acupuncture sessions. For best results, I recommend a regular Acupuncture regimen 3 months prior to receiving Assisted Reproduction Techniques. I am happy to collaborate with your medical Doctor, to make sure you are in the best possible health for your pregnancy!
Mari has gone above and beyond what I ever imagined a practitioner would do in my fertility journey. She is experienced, compassionate, perceptive, and committed to providing outstanding care for her clients. Thanks to her guidance and treatment, my husband and I are expecting our first baby next year and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
There are many advantages to having Acupuncture in conjunction with IVF. I am often available to see you through your entire process of IVF treatments, and can be on site for Acupuncture just before and just after embryo transfer. For more information about IVF transfer Acupuncture at OHSU or other Reproductive Medical Centers in Portland, please check out my website Fertility Acupuncture NW.
