Following many years of being a patient experiencing the amazing results of acupuncture and alternative complimentary medicine to address various health concerns, in 2009 I chose to study Chinese Medicine modalities at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
I graduated in 2013 with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. This included course work and hands-on training in Qi gong meditation, Chinese massage and Chinese Herbal medicine prescription. I became an Oregon Medical Board certified Acupuncturist and Nationally certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture, Chinese Medical Theory and Biomedicine in 2014.
Prior to my masters education, I completed undergraduate studies in Biology with a focus on Marine biology. I obtained a B.S. degree from Portland State University. Continuing education included pre-nursing course work of nutrition, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, sociology and psychology.
Additionally I was certified as a C.N.A. in the state of Washington in 2009 before attending the masters program for acupuncture in Oregon. I have certification from National Acupuncture Detox Association (N.A.D.A.) I have varied experience working with under-served communities in Portland, OR including those coping with addiction, trauma, homelessness, cancer, and AIDS at Quest and Outside In .
My experience within my own practice since 2014 has included treating a broad range of body pain and injuries, providing support for neurological disease symptoms, post cancer symptoms, pregnancy, hormone balance, and symptoms related to P.T.S.D, anxiety, insomnia, and stress.
I am thrilled to continuously study the human body while providing holistic healthcare.
Every week I strive to provide the best care for my patients in a comfortable and healing atmosphere. Working together, to achieve the common health goal of bringing their body and minds into better balance.
